We do hope you love and enjoy all products you purchase, however, we understand sometimes circumstances might arise where a return or exchange is requested.

Our return policy is in addition to consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Please read through and become familiar with the following so you understand your rights and our obligations to you.


Our return policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have passed since your purchase by the time you submit your return request, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be in the original packaging (plastic covering still on, security seal untampered), undamaged and complete with all items, accessories and product manuals.

We strongly recommend you choose your item carefully in order to help have a positive shopping experience with us, as we cannot give refunds for change of mind purchases.

Items that are incorrectly ordered or unwanted can possibly be exchanged (at our discretion) and will incur a restocking fee of 20% of the price you purchased the item for. Once the product has been returned and received by Painted Sound and has meet the return policy criteria listed, the exchange will be issued. Original shipping costs will also be deducted if covered by Painted Sound, as well as relevant payment gateway fees and administration costs.

A receipt or proof of purchase is required in order to complete the return of a product.

On sale items, special buy products and gift cards are non-returnable.

Dead on arrival items will be replaced with like item once returned. After 7 days of receipt, any product failure will then fall under manufacturers warranty Terms & Conditions. All warranty claims are subject to vendor or distributors approval. It may be required for you to send the defective item back to the manufacturer, distributor or local service agent.



Before sending any item back, please make sure:

  • Your item meets the return policy requirements of Painted Sound as listed above.
  • Email [email protected] with details regarding your reason for making the return, the product brand, model, serial number, date of purchase and attach your receipt or proof of purchase, as well as a photo of the goods.
  • We will then reply an email giving you a return authorization number. Write the return authorization number on the back of the receipt or proof of purchase and mail with the item.

Please do not send any item back without a return authorization number as it will be freighted back to you at your cost. Please note, a return authorization number does not guarantee refund or exchange as physical inspection is still required.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. If your item is deemed in working order and/or not covered under warranty for any reason, then the buyer will be responsible for covering shipping costs to get the item delivered back to them.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund if not originally paid for.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

Please note, If you are shipping an item back to us, you should consider using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. Painted Sound does not guarantee that we will receive your returned item and will not take any responsibility for any items that are damaged or lost during return.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
