HOW TO RESTORE ON A WINDOWS PC

Restoring the device back to its original factory settings will most likely solve the issue. If you are using a computer with Windows, here is a walkthrough of how to reset it. Please note that you may have a slightly different variation of images if your computer has a different version, but the general idea is the exact same no matter what version you are using of Windows.  

First, pull up the device on your computer’s file explorer. It will appear on the left-hand menu.

Second, right click on the device. Click on the option that says “Format”

Next, click “Restore device defaults”

Click “Start”

Click “Ok”

You will need to wait a few moments for the restoring process to complete, after which click “Done”

And there you have it! You will need to redownload your MP3 formatted songs onto the device. Be sure to safely eject the device once you have completed the downloading process.

 

HOW TO RESTORE ON A MAC

Restoring the device back to its original factory settings will most likely solve the issue. If you are using an Apple computer, here is a walkthrough of how to reset it. Please note that you may have a slightly different variation of images if your computer has a different version, but the general idea is the exact same no matter what version you are using of Apple’s processor.

First, pull up your device in the Finder. Do this by clicking on the Finder App in the dashboard. The SYRYN is listed under the “Devices” tab.

On the very top left menu of your Finder, hover over the drop-down menu “Go” and click on “Utilities”.

Scroll down in the Utilities menu and click on “Disk Utility”.

The Disk Utilities menu will pop up. Click on your SYRYN player listed under the external devices

Click on the “Erase” option.

Re-enter the name of your device, SYRYN, and make sure that the volume format is set to MS-DOS (FAT). This is important, because if it is a different format it will not play correctly on the MP3 player.

Click Erase

It may take few moments to finish, but then you can click Done.

And there you have it! You will need to redownload your MP3 formatted songs onto the device. Be sure to safely eject the device once you have completed the downloading process.
